And now a California judge agrees!
The honorable Beverly O’Connell ruled in favor of her Madgesty in a court case that accused the Queen of Pop of stealing the sample used in her song Vogue!
Madonna and her producer Robert “Shep” Pettibone were sued by VMG Salsoul who claimed a piece of their musical property was used illegally in the hit single!
The 1976 composition Love Break features two sections that do sound similar to ones heard in Vogue and the plaintiffs alleged that it took new technology to discover the sample, which they say was deliberately hidden in Madonna’s song!
Judge O’Connell’s verdict however read as followed:
